The functional design and integrated structure of the »EXTREME« motor protection protects the motor and collector. It sits so tightly against the engine that not only is the front of the engine less exposed to damage, but ground clearance and lean angle remain almost unchanged.
The shape of the cover prevents dangerous digging into the ground or snagging by branches, stones or rocks. Holes ensure drainage of accumulated water in case of wading in water.
A characteristic feature of Wunderlich products is also the care for maximum access to the protected part during maintenance. In this case, among other things, a hole was provided to facilitate draining the engine oil.
The aluminum motor cover is corrosion-resistant, and the occurring forces and vibrations are absorbed by the anti-vibration mounting elements.
Wunderlich manufactures »EXTREME« engine protectors using a technologically advanced hydroforming process. In this way, it is possible to realize complex shapes and geometries of elements (especially asymmetric ones), in which we can achieve lower weight by optimizing the thickness of the material, and at the same time achieve high stiffness and mechanical stability of the element.
