The telescope's support tube is specially designed for the characteristics of the R 1100 R, R 1100 RT,R 1150 RT and R 1200 R motorbike.
The tube is made of special C-Mn manganese steel. This steel comes from one of the best steel mills in Europe, which has specialized for many years in the production of steel intended for the production of pipes for suspensions and other elements for hydraulic systems.
A special alloy of steel from which the pipe is made provides increased hardness of the material compared to standard steel alloys and increased linear longitudinal elasticity.
The pipe is additionally covered with an outer layer of technical chrome with a thickness of about 0.03 mm, which provides increased protection against corrosion, hardness and ensures high sliding of the working surface.
In addition, the pipe is ground and polished during the production process on several specialized machines, which makes the final product resistant to scratches.
