A particular technological delicacy is the type of reinforcement: Through a specially designed headless screw an O ring is pressed against the bore hole that fixes the cover firmly in place.
Technologically this is the only sensible attachment
Thanks to manufacturer tolerances, attachment to the provided screw threads is not part of the equation, because the cover would sit decentralised in many vehicles.
