The shape of the cover prevents it from dangerously digging into the terrain or getting caught by branches, stones or rocks. The holes ensure drainage of water accumulated when wading in water. A characteristic feature of Wunderlich products is the maximum possible access to protected parts during maintenance.
In this case, among other things, a hole is provided to facilitate draining the engine oil. The aluminum engine cover is resistant to corrosion, and the forces and vibrations that occur are absorbed by anti-vibration mounting elements.
