Many modern BMW motorcycles have a highly routed muffler, which is usually located just behind the side trunk.

In skaray cases, the heat emitted by the muffler permanently deforms the plastic of the trunk.

That's why original trunks can be found with a stick-on heat-insulating mat on the outside.

Now, a similar thermo-isolation lining can be applied to accessory trunks.

The heat-insulating mat is sold in the form of a rectangle measuring 25 x 33cm.

The composition of the mat is free of asbestos and harmful ceramic fibers.
