Engine side crankshaft Teflon oil seal.
Dimensions of the sealant 65x83x7 of a special design with a Teflon lip.
Teflon sealant requires compliance with the assembly regime (e.g. dry assembly!, seasoning after assembly!), otherwise it will be irreversibly damaged. We recommend assembly in a professional workshop.
Note - BMW Boxers manufactured after 12.1997 use two sealants No. 11-11087 and 11-11135.This was to eliminate the occasional oil leaks on the clutch.
Make sure you don't need to buy a second 11-11135 simmering.
BMW has replaced fluorine spring seals with Teflon seals for many years.
Teflon (PTFE) sealant has a much wider and stiffer sealing lip without the characteristic pressure spring.
The wide lip provides a larger contact surface to the shaft, which ensures very good sealing parameters, and also reduces the formation of a groove in the place of the lip's work.
Tefon has a very low coefficient of friction and is resistant to operating temperatures significantly exceeding engine operating temperatures, the aging process of PTFE is negligible.
The original Teflon sealant ensures many years of trouble-free operation.
