The engine rack crossbar designed by Wunderlich acts as a connector for the right and left engine guard rods. It runs in front of the alternator cover and is bolted directly to the holes in the alternator cover along with the rods. The strut has a threaded M8 insert. The necessary mounting hardware is included.

With the strut folded, effective forces in the event of a crash are also transferred from the protective rack on one side to both sides. Pressure and tensile forces are thus distributed to both sides. The forces acting on the engine through the composite bar are optimally distributed, avoiding greater damage.
