Modified valve tappet for BMW boxer engines.

On the R1100 and R1150 models, the follower was made of aluminum with embedded steel spherical tips.

Unfortunately, the high thermal expansion of aluminum causes the formation of clearances in the seating of steel ends, which is manifested by increased noise - the so-called ringing.

In the R1200 engines, this problem has been eliminated by making the tappets from a homogeneous material - a steel alloy.

The pusher offered here is of improved design - made of steel alloy.
